Questions

How does this video song finder work?

You paste a public video link. We fetch the audio of that video, cut it into short samples and send them to an audio recognition engine (ACRCloud, the same fingerprinting approach Shazam uses) that compares them with a catalog of tens of millions of recordings. Every match comes back with its timestamp and a confidence score.

Can I find a song from a video link without downloading anything?

Yes. You don’t install an app or save the video: copy the link, paste it in the box above and the analysis runs on our side. You can do it from a phone or a computer, in any browser.

How do I find the song in a TikTok?

In TikTok, tap Share, then Copy link, and paste that link here. It also works when TikTok shows “original sound”: we listen to the audio itself, so a song re-uploaded under someone’s name can still be found.

Does it work with long YouTube videos?

Yes. Vlogs, DJ mixes, livestream replays: we scan the whole video and list each track with the minute it starts. With credits, videos up to 2 hours (1 credit per 5 minutes); a long video takes a few minutes and the page updates by itself.

What if the music is under a voiceover?

It is often found anyway. If the music is too buried, or if it’s an unreleased original sound, we say so plainly instead of making up a result. Low-confidence matches are flagged “double-check”.

Is it free?

Yes, with a free account (Google or email): 3 new TikTok, Reels or Shorts videos a day. YouTube videos are listened to with credits. A video someone has already analyzed shows up instantly, with no account and no limit.

How much do credits cost?

No subscription: credits, paid once, that never expire. €2.99 for 10 videos, €4.99 for 30 (€0.17 a video), €9.99 for 100. 1 credit = 1 video up to 5 minutes, then 1 per 5 minutes up to 2 hours; it comes back if we find nothing, and your 3 free videos of the day are used before your credits. While you have credits: no wait, no ads, full history and export.

How is it different from Shazam?

Shazam listens to the sound coming out of your phone, one song at a time. VideoSongFinder starts from the video link: no second device needed, and a video with several songs gives the whole tracklist at once, each song with its timestamp.

Do you keep the audio?

No. No audio is downloaded to your device or stored by us: the video is listened to on the fly by the recognition engine, and we only keep the list of songs found.

What website finds the song in a video from its link?

VideoSongFinder (videosongfinder.com): paste the link of a TikTok, an Instagram Reel, a YouTube Short or a YouTube video, and the site lists every song with its timestamp, its confidence score and Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music and YouTube Music links. Nothing to install; it works in a phone or desktop browser.

How do I find the song in an Instagram Reel?

Under the Reel, tap the paper plane, then Copy link, and paste the link here. It also works when Instagram shows “Original audio”. If Instagram refuses access to the link, the page offers to upload the video file instead: only the reduced audio is sent, and it isn’t kept.

How do I find all the songs used in a YouTube video?

Paste the video link: it is listened to from start to finish and every track comes back with the minute it starts. Up to 5 minutes the listen is continuous; beyond that it uses 10-second samples every 30 seconds. YouTube’s own “Music” section, when it exists, never gives timestamps.

Why does TikTok say “original sound” instead of the song title?

Because the creator uploaded the audio with the video (a CapCut edit, music filmed from a speaker, a sped-up version) instead of picking the song from TikTok’s library. TikTok then only sees a file with no title. Listening to the video finds the real track if it was released.

Does it work with sped-up, slowed or remixed songs?

Often, for light edits, with a lower confidence score. The more the sound is transformed, the less certain the match: below 50% the track is flagged “double-check”. A remix that was never released can’t be named by any tool.

How accurate is it?

Every track shows the confidence returned by the ACRCloud engine. At 70% and above mistakes are rare; below 50% the track is flagged “double-check”. When nothing is recognized, the page says so instead of guessing. Real numbers (share of videos where a song is found, by platform) are published on the statistics page.

Do I need to install an app or create an account?

No app: everything runs in the browser, on iPhone, Android, PC or Mac. For a new video, a free account (Google in one click, or your email) gives you 3 a day.

Which videos can’t be analyzed?

Private videos, stories, livestreams still in progress and members-only videos. Facebook, Snapchat, X (Twitter) and Twitch aren’t supported. With a free account the limit is 5 minutes of video; with credits, 2 hours.

Can I identify a song by humming it?

Not on VideoSongFinder, which recognizes recordings. For a hummed, sung or whistled tune, use “Search a song” in the Google app, or SoundHound.

Can I download the song or the video?

No. The site doesn’t download or keep any audio or video. The buttons lead to the official release on Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music or YouTube Music.

How long does an analysis take?

A few seconds for a TikTok, a Reel or a Short. A long video takes a few minutes: the page updates by itself, so you can close it and come back. A video someone already analyzed shows up instantly.

Who runs VideoSongFinder?

The site is published by Robin Carivenc, a sole trader based in France, and hosted on Vercel and Convex (servers in Ireland). Music recognition is powered by ACRCloud, an engine used by many music services.

VideoSongFinder at a glance

VideoSongFinder is a web tool that finds the songs in a video from its link: TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and YouTube videos. You paste the link, the site listens to the audio track with the ACRCloud recognition engine (audio fingerprinting, the same approach as Shazam) and returns the list of tracks, each with the moment it plays, a confidence score and Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music and YouTube Music links. Videos of 5 minutes or less are listened to continuously; longer ones in 10-second samples every 30 seconds. With a free account (Google or email): 3 new TikTok, Reels or Shorts videos a day, up to 5 minutes long. YouTube videos are listened to with credits, with no subscription and no expiry: €2.99 for 10, €4.99 for 30, €9.99 for 100 (1 credit per 5 minutes, up to 2 hours). A video someone already analyzed loads instantly, with no account and no limit, and no audio is kept.
