Mixes and DJ sets
DJ mix tracklist finder
A mix runs dozens of tracks back to back and names none of them. Paste the YouTube link of the mix: every track we recognize comes back with the minute it starts, up to 2 hours with credits (1 per 5 minutes). For longer sets and unreleased “IDs”, here is where else to look.

In short
- Look at the video description, the chapters and the pinned comment first: many DJs post their own timestamped tracklist, and it names edits no recognition engine knows.
- If there is none, paste the mix link here. Past 5 minutes the audio is sampled, 10 seconds every 30 seconds, and every recognized track is listed with its start time and a confidence score. YouTube videos are listened to with credits, up to 2 hours (1 credit per 5 minutes).
- Transitions, home-made edits and “ID” tracks (music not released yet) are the limits of every tool, ours included.
Read before you scan
Where a mix tracklist is often already written
DJs who upload their own mixes usually know people will ask. The description is the first place to look: a list like “00:00 Artist – Title” turns into clickable chapters on YouTube, and you can jump straight to the track you want.
The pinned comment is the second. Channels that repost sets often pin the tracklist there, or a listener with a good ear posts one and it climbs to the top. These lists beat any engine on one point: they come from people who know the edits and bootlegs that were never released.
A scan is for everything else: an old upload with an empty description, a partial list with gaps, a reposted mix whose original tracklist was lost, or a list you want to double-check before buying the tracks.
- Description and chaptersThe DJ’s own list, timestamped, when it exists.
- Pinned or top commentThe channel itself, or a listener who knows the set.
- Community tracklist databasesGood for known festival, club and radio sets.
- Unknown mix with an empty descriptionOnly listening can rebuild the list.
Community databases
Tracklist sites, and what “ID – ID” means
For well-known sets (festival stages, club nights, radio shows), listeners rebuild tracklists together on dedicated sites, 1001Tracklists being the best known. Each line has a timestamp, the artist, the title and often the label, which helps you find the exact version that was played.
A line written “ID – ID” means nobody has identified the track yet. Most of the time it is a production the DJ is playing before its release. No recognition engine can name it either, because it isn’t in any catalog: you have to wait for the release, or ask the DJ.

How we listen
Sampling a long mix: 10 seconds every 30
Listening to every second of a two-hour set would be slow and expensive, so past 5 minutes we take a 10-second sample every 30 seconds and match each one against the catalog. Samples that hit the same track are grouped, which gives the moment it comes in.
A 10-minute mix means about 20 samples; a two-hour set, about 240. The trade-off is stated on every result page: a track played for less than about fifteen seconds, slipped between two others, can fall between two samples.
The timeline above is not a mix. It is a 28:42 YouTube vlog from our engine test on October 12, 2026, sampled the same way: 17 tracks found, scores from 100% down to 19%, each with its start time. A mix with clean transitions usually scores higher than music under a vlogger’s voice.

Why mixes are hard
Transitions, pitch and crowd noise
A DJ mix is not songs laid end to end. During a blend, two tracks play at once and the engine usually recognizes one of them, rarely both. To beatmatch, the DJ nudges the tempo up or down: a few percent is fine, a big change lowers the confidence score.
Home-made edits and bootleg remixes are missing from every catalog unless they were released. And a set filmed from the crowd adds shouting, clipped bass and room echo; a recording taken straight from the mixer is recognized far better than a phone video from the dance floor.
That is why every track shows a score. Below 50% it is flagged “double-check”: jump to its timestamp and listen before you add it to a playlist.
Long sets
Past 5 minutes, and what to do with the list
Every minute listened to is billed to us by the recognition engine, so YouTube mixes are listened to with credits: 1 per 5 minutes, up to 2 hours, so 24 credits for a two-hour set. Without credits, look for a published tracklist first, or for shorter excerpts: many DJs cut their sets into clips.
Every recognized track comes with Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music and YouTube Music buttons, and the result has its own page you can share. Posting it under the mix helps the next listener. With credits you can also export the list as text, CSV or YouTube chapters. For music in a vlog or a stream replay rather than a mix, see the YouTube video song finder.

How do I find the tracklist of a YouTube mix?
Check the description, the chapters and the pinned comment first. If there is nothing, paste the link here: every recognized track is listed with its timestamp, for videos up to 2 hours with credits.
What does “ID” mean in a tracklist?
A track nobody has identified yet, usually a production the DJ is playing before its release. No tool can name it until it is out.
Why are some tracks of the mix missing?
Long videos are sampled, 10 seconds every 30 seconds, so a very short passage can slip between two samples. Blends, pitched tracks and unreleased edits are also harder.
Can it handle a two-hour set?
With credits, yes: up to 2 hours per video, 1 credit per 5 minutes (24 for a two-hour set). Otherwise, look for a published tracklist.
Does it work with SoundCloud or Mixcloud?
No, those platforms aren’t supported. If the mix is also on YouTube, paste that link instead.
Why is a track recognized at 40%?
Usually because of a blend or a changed tempo. Under 50% the track is flagged “double-check”: listen at its timestamp before trusting it.
Can I export the tracklist?
Every result has a shareable page. With credits you also get an export as plain text, CSV or YouTube chapters, ready to paste into a description.
Is it free?
A mix someone already analyzed opens instantly and for free, with no account. A new YouTube mix needs credits: 1 per 5 minutes, from €2.99 for 10, never expiring.
