TikTok song finder
Paste the link of the TikTok. If the sound comes from TikTok’s music library, the answer is instant; if it’s an “original sound”, we listen to the video itself and match it against tens of millions of recordings. No app to install: a free account (Google or email) is all you need.

In short
- Tap Share on the TikTok, choose Copy link, drop it in the box: the song’s name and artist appear with buttons for Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and YouTube Music.
- “Original sound” only means the creator uploaded the audio with the video. The song inside is often a released track, and listening to the video finds it: the TikToks at the top of this page and in the example below both showed “original sound”.
- Only public videos can be read. A sound that was never released (a bedroom beat, a voice, a movie line) can’t be named by any tool, and the result page says so instead of guessing.
What song is in this TikTok?
Check the sound label first
Every TikTok shows its sound at the bottom of the screen: a scrolling line with a music note, and a spinning disc on the right. Tap either one to open the sound page, which lists the sound’s name, the most viewed videos that use it, and a button to save it.
If the music was chosen inside TikTok, from its licensed catalog, that line carries the real title and artist, supplied by the labels. You can stop there: the information is reliable, and some sound pages even offer to open the track in a music app.
When the line says “original sound” followed by a username, or a made-up name like “sped up audio 🔥”, it tells you nothing about the music. That’s the case a TikTok song finder is for.
The sound line: a title and artist for a library song, “original sound” and a username for an uploaded one.
Original sound
Why TikTok won’t name the song
A creator who edits a video in CapCut or another app, music included, uploads one file with the audio baked in. TikTok has no way to know which song that audio contains, so it files it as an “original sound” owned by the account. The same happens when someone films a speaker playing a song, or records a clip from a stream.
Other people can then reuse that original sound in their own videos. As it spreads, the label stays the same, so a song can go viral on TikTok for weeks without TikTok ever showing its name. Some uploaders even rename the sound after a different song, by mistake or to ride a trend.
Listening is the only way to settle it. We fetch the audio of the video and compare its acoustic fingerprint with a catalog of commercial recordings, the same principle Shazam uses. Every match comes with a confidence score, so you know how far to trust it.
Real example
Two videos, one sound, one listen
On October 13, a 28-second TikTok, “Rien à voir bambin !”, was analyzed here. TikTok only showed “original sound”. The listen recognized CYBERTESLA by L2B with 100% confidence, from the first second to the last.
Three days later, another video from the same account used exactly the same original sound. TikTok gives every sound an ID, and we store it with each analysis, so the second video reused the first result without going through the recognition engine again. Its result page says so and links back to the original video.
That shortcut only applies when the first analysis is finished, found a track with at least 70% confidence, and doesn’t contradict the video’s caption. A weak match never spreads to other videos.

Link finder, Shazam or humming?
Shazam works if the TikTok can play while it listens. iPhone owners can skip the second device: the Shazam shortcut in Control Center hears the phone’s own sound. It only catches the seconds you trigger it on, which is enough for a TikTok built on one song.
Humming search (Google’s “Search a song”) is for a tune stuck in your head when the video is gone. It compares melodies, not recordings, so it can name a well-known song but rarely an obscure remix.
Pasting the link skips the speaker and the noisy room entirely: the audio file of the video is analyzed directly, from any browser. It is the only option of the three that also handles long videos with several songs. Our page on using Shazam on a video covers the phone methods in detail.
- You have the video linkPaste it here: the audio is read directly, even with “original sound”.
- The video is playing on your iPhoneControl Center’s Music Recognition listens to the phone itself.
- You only remember the tuneHum it into Google’s song search; works best for well-known songs.
- The video was deleted or made privateNo tool can read it any more: look for a repost of the same sound.
Edits and sped-up audio
Sped-up, slowed and remixed TikTok sounds
TikTok audios are often sped up, slowed down with reverb, pitched, or cut into a loop. Speeding a song up changes both its tempo and its pitch, so its fingerprint drifts away from the released version. A light edit is usually still recognized, with a lower score; a heavy one may only match a fan-made “sped up” upload, or nothing.
In a 2-minute TikTok from our engine tests, sped-up music played under a voiceover. The engine matched two versions of the same song: a “Sped up [Tik Tok version]” upload at 22% and a mix at 52%. Both scores are low, both are shown, and the lower one is flagged “double-check”. That’s the honest answer for a heavily edited sound: here is the song, listen before you trust the exact version.

How do I find the song in a TikTok by link?
Tap Share on the video, then Copy link, and paste the link in the box above. Short links (vm.tiktok.com or tiktok.com/t/…) and full video addresses both work.
Why does TikTok say “original sound” when it’s a real song?
Because the creator uploaded the audio with the video instead of picking the song from TikTok’s library. TikTok then only sees a file tied to their account, with no title or artist. Listening to the video finds the released track behind it.
Does the link of the sound page work?
No. A sound page groups videos but carries no audio of its own. Copy the link of one of the videos that use the sound; ideally the one where the music is least covered by talking.
Can I find the song in a private TikTok?
No. The recognition engine has to open the video like any visitor. If you can save the video, the result page offers to upload the file instead.
Is this TikTok song finder free?
It is, with a free account (Google or email): three new TikToks a day. Any TikTok already checked by another visitor loads at once, with no account, and never counts.
Why is a result marked “double-check”?
Its confidence is under 50%: the match is weak, usually because of a voice on top or an edited sound. Listen to the suggested track before you share it.
What if nothing is found?
The sound may be unreleased (a creator’s own beat, a voice, a meme sound), too heavily edited, or buried under talking. The page says so plainly. Try another video that uses the same sound, or check the comments: someone has often asked already.
Can I download the TikTok sound as an MP3?
No. No MP3 is made and no audio is stored; recognition happens as the video streams, and the buttons lead to the official release on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer or YouTube Music.
Do I need a TikTok account?
No. You only need the link of the video, copied from the app or from tiktok.com in a browser.
